At Redstar Aviation, we know that caring for patients in the air is one of the most challenging sectors in medicine. Redstar Aviation has thus taken it upon us to only work with the most specialized and qualified medical teams.
Led by our Medical Directors, continuous education both theoretically and practically in combination with the latest equipment assure that every mission with Redstar Aviation is done in the most caring and professional manner.
As the only provider in Türkiye having achieved accreditation in Fixed Wing Air Ambulance by the globally renowned European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI) e.V., Redstar Aviation voluntarily undergoes strict audits every three years, so you can be assured that you are only flying with the best.
Our dynamic medical team includes specialists in different medical disciplines, such as Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Orthopaedics and Traumatology. All our team members hold current certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, AHA), and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP/PALS) and receives regular training from both internal and external sources at national and international level and is always ready to deliver expert care in every case encountered.
Our medical team is also qualified and highly experienced in the care of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patients. For cases that require other areas of expertise, our team receives support from specialists such as paediatrics, anaesthesia, intensive care and perfusionists for ECMO cases which enables Redstar Aviation to offer utmost care also for the critical cases.
Our missions include at least one doctor and one flight nurse as standard team – but in some special cases, our medical team can be expanded depending on the patient’s condition.
Our Medical Team...
- has undergone all required training for air ambulance transfers, especially in-flight psychology, post-traumatic support, training of team members, and hygiene practices for infectious diseases;
- receives regular training to keep up to date with the latest knowledge and procedures;
- can communicate in different languages in addition to Turkish, including English, German and French;
- can request instant support from gynaecologists, surgeons and paediatric specialists depending on the age and medical condition of the patient;
- has an extensive and longstanding air and ground ambulance background.
